Eve Glider: A Multifunctional and Contemporary Coffee Table

The Eve Glider stands out from traditional coffee tables with its fusion of a winged tabletop, a central tail-like ledge, and dynamically shaped legs. This combination creates a solid and visually striking form that not only serves as a coffee table but also provides easy access for sitting or lifting. The table's central ledge allows for convenient reach, making it effortless to retrieve objects without leaning forward. Additionally, the lightweight design and positioning of the legs enable the table to be placed close to the seating area, ensuring full access to the entire tabletop.

One of the standout features of the Eve Glider is its versatility. It can be used not only as a coffee table but also as a footrest, adding an extra level of comfort to your living space. For added convenience, the table can be rotated 180 degrees, allowing for easy access from different angles.

The Eve Glider is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, using materials such as plywood, colored primer, wood glue, glossy lacquer, and aviation aluminum. The combination of these materials enhances the table's minimalistic design and gives it a refined and contemporary look.

Measuring 1000mm in width, 600mm in depth, and 510mm in height, the Eve Glider is lightweight, weighing only 5kg. Its compact size and lightweight construction make it easy to move and adapt to different living spaces.

The design process for the Eve Glider began in October 2018 in Veliky Novgorod and was completed in February 2019 in Saint-Petersburg. Nikolay Vladykin embarked on this project with the aim of creating a coffee table that addressed the limitations of traditional designs. Through extensive research and experimentation, he developed a unique and multifunctional solution that combines practicality, comfort, and contemporary aesthetics.

The innovative design of the Eve Glider has garnered recognition and acclaim. In 2019, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category. This prestigious award recognizes designs that demonstrate excellence in functionality, innovation, and professional standards.
